This year I have acquitted clients, at trial, of: 1. Capital Murder (death qualified) included acquittal of Robbery 1st, Burglary 1st, Tampering with Physical Evidence and Theft by Unlawful Taking over $300. Two co-defendants were convicted and two plead prior to trial. September 16, 2008. Jefferson County Kentucky. SEE NEWSPAPER ARTICLE. 2. Receiving Stolen Property - February 2008. Meade County Circuit Court. The jury was out for 20 minutes. 3. Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute Over 500 grams of Methamphetamine in the United States District Court of Southern Indiana. The jury came back with a lesser included charge that precluded the mandatory minimum of 10 years in the Federal Bureau of Prisons. 4. Two DUI charges. Jefferson District Court. 5. Assault in the Second Degree - Jefferson Circuit Court. In years past I have acquitted clients, at trial, of: Murder, Assault in the First Degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine), Promoting Contraband First Degree, numerous DUI’s, Domestic Assault Four, Robbery in the First Degree (car jacking), Fleeing and Evading First Degree, Wanton Endangerment in the First Degree, Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Cultivating Marijuana over 5 Plants.
